Mental health now affects 2.23 million Australians

Mental health conditions (including depresssing or anxiety) was the most common long-term health condiiton in Australia with 2.23 million Australians having this condition. This was more common than Arthritis with 2.15 million Australians with this condition and Asthma with 2.07 million Australians having this condition. The 2021 census was the first census where long-term health conditions questions were asked.
